Sharing the First Fruits of Your Treasure

STEWARDSHIP, the sharing of our First Fruits, in its simplest terms, asks us to put God’s priorities First before our own. Followers of Jesus give the First portion of their Time, Talent & Treasure to God, through their Parish family, to continue the Lord’s Mission, in gratitude for all of God’s blessings and Gifts.

What is the Annual Pastoral Appeal?
All of the parishes and missions in the Diocese of St. Petersburg contribute roughly 13% of their combined parish revenues to fund the operating budget of our diocesan level ministries and services which serve our five counties. The Annual Pastoral Appeal (APA) is an annual fundraiser, or appeal, to the parishioners of the diocese asking them to contribute directly to diocesan ministries and services.  The ultimate goal for each parish and mission is to reach or exceed the assessment amount through APA.  If the assessment is paid through direct donations from parishioners, more offertory money will remain at the parish to fund parish level ministry.  In addition, parishes receive all funds raised OVER their goal. However, if the goal is not met, the balance due is billed to the parish.   For more information  Click here.

The correct wording for this purpose: I devise and bequest (amount, article, stock, etc.) to Bishop Robert Lynch, as Bishop of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, a corporation sole, and his successors in office, for the use of “ST. JUSTIN, MARTYR CHURCH, in Seminole, Florida.”
